A Pierce Lance Engine was purchased
in 1992, which replaced a 1972 Mack R-Model 1250 gpm pumper. At the present time
Engine 2 has 24 active members.  The company belongs to South Bergen Mutual Aid Association Zone Two,
C.R.E.W. Mutual Aid Association. The North Jersey Fireman's Association, New
Jersey & New York Volunteer Fireman's Association. Engine 2 is
responsible for Mutual Aid runs, with the City of Passaic, and Boroughs of
East Rutherford, Rutherford, Wallington and Elmwood Park. Borough of Carlstadt comprised of over 6,000 Residents, Commercial Buildings, two major Highways, and a large area of The Meadowlands. In the near future half of the Meadowlands area will cleared out and one of the largest shopping malls in the State will be constructed. Along with the shopping mall, many High Rise Hotels and Office buildings will be constructed adding a new dimension to our firefighting capabilities. |
